Fellowship Policies Regarding Volunteer (Classroom Assistant) Responsibilities and Expectations :
1. Help enforce Fellowship rules and expectations in the class, on both Monday and Thursday campuses.
2. Be proactive finding ways to help the teacher fulfill the Teacher Responsibilities.
3. Arrive in class before class begins and mark “tardy” those students who come to class late.
4. Assist the teacher with attendance, yellow forms, grading, or other areas where the teacher may need assistance. Notify a teacher immediately as to any classroom concerns about a student; i.e., if a student repeatedly fails to complete homework or falls below a 70% average in a quarter. Excessive tardies and/or unexcused absences, as defined in teacher’s classroom policy, shall be viewed as a violation and is subject to co-op disciplinary procedures.
5. Observe the class during teaching time to bring the teacher’s attention to any issues that may need to be addressed.
6. Communicate with the teacher at least quarterly to get feedback on class effectiveness, classroom management or other concerns. Be open to constructive feedback.
7. Notify the teacher in advance and obtain a substitute if you must be absent.
8. Refrain from visiting during class time.
9. Adhere to the Dress Code and Conduct Code.
I understand that failure to comply with these policies will jeopardize my privilege to participate in Fellowship Co-op. The Fellowship Board reserves the right to deny participation to any family or student.
