Devotions
(High School and K-8 Lunch Area)
- Monitor must wear an orange vest and carry a large trash bag while “policing” the area during lunch. This is to let others know who you are.
- Monitor must make sure all the students clean up after themselves.
- Monitor the noise level in the room.
- Monitor must make sure there is no “horseplay” or any other inappropriate activity going on in the room.
- Eating is only allowed in the open area not in the side rooms or hallway.
- Make sure the room is picked up after lunch.
- Cokes purchased by our HS students are only allowed in the HS Lunch room.
(K-8 Morning Assembly area)
- Monitor must wear orange vest.
- Strictly enforce: NO RUNNING DOWN THE BLEACHERS, NO PLAYING ON THE STAGE, NO SLIDING DOWN OR JUMPING OVER THE RAILS
- Half of the gym will be allowed for the high school students to play basketball. The other half for the younger students to play another game.
- Church basketballs may be used. Make sure that they are put away before the end of the lunch period.
- We cannot list every possible danger in this area. Please use your common sense and best judgment to keep all the children safe.
- Arrive at Co-op by 8:15 a.m.
- Set-up secretary’s desk. Set-up 2 tables (one for the file box) and 2 chairs, bring out file cabinet, attendance book, parent locator notebook, rolling cart and trashcan.
- Set out nametags.
- Place door tags on all classroom doors.
- Set-up tables and chairs in both lunch areas.
- Set-up pizza table in the hall in front of secretary’s desk.
- Set-up teacher’s lounge. Set-up table, bring out coffee, water for coffee, cream, spoons, and small plates.
- Some classrooms will need extra tables. This information will be communicated on the first day of co-op.
- Special events such as co-op book sale, Heritage Day, etc. will need tables. Please be aware of the dates of these events and set-up tables accordingly.
- Each person will receive a list of the other moms with service responsibilities. In the event that you are unable to make it on your day of service, it will be your responsibility to find a replacement for that day.
- The incoming set-up crew will assist the out going set-up crew on the last day of the quarter. This way the out going crew can instruct the incoming crew.
- Arrive at co-op by 8:35
- Come prepared to give a devotion that is no longer than FIVE minutes. This way we can be on time for our first period classes. Preferably offer a daily scripture and the application that would go with it.
- If you are unable to serve on your day it is your responsibility to let leadership know as soon as possible.
